Permission to dance, because BTS is back! The K-pop supergroup announced on Tuesday (Jan. 13) that it is hitting the road in 2026-2027 for a world tour.
The global trek is set to kick off April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, then makes a stop in Tokyo before arriving in the United States in late April. The first stateside concerts will take place April 25-26 in Tampa, Fla., and closes its North American run with four shows in Los Angeles in September.
According to the press release, the tour is set to make landfall in 34 regions of the world and will include 79 concerts. Beyond South Korea, Japan and North America, the septet of Jin, RM, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Suga and Jung Kook will hit Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Brazil, Malaysia and more. The 2027 shows are currently set to take place in Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
The tour news comes shortly after BTS announced on Jan. 4 that its as yet untitled fifth album will be arriving March 20, and will include 14 tracks. The group’s new album is “driven by each member’s honest introspection as they collectively shaped its direction by weaving their individual perspectives into the music,” that press release noted.
Prior to the news of the upcoming album and tour, Jung Kook teased the timeline of BTS return after the group took a hiatus so members could fulfill their mandatory military duties and focus on solo projects. “I think this spring will be more important than ever,” he told Elle Korea in December. “So I sincerely hope you all have a safe and enjoyable spring.”
