James Broadnax, 37, was executed by lethal injection Thursday evening at Texas State Penitentiary. He was convicted of killing Christian-music producers Stephen Swan, 26, and Matthew Butler, 28, in 2008. His cousin, Demarius Cummings, confessed to the murders in March. The Supreme Court rejected his appeals.
